Welcome, Let’s Listen To Music

For the first post I want to talk music, specifically some really good recent albums that I love and feel need much more attention.

Ibeyi

Beautiful sophomore album ‘Ash’ really pushes the eccentricities of the French-Cuban duo evolving their experimental R&B/Soul to another level.

Moses Sumney

Moses Sumney’s debut ‘Aromanticism’ takes you on a deep soulful ride into a world of experimental synthesisers and vulnerability.

Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato is back again with an incredible all round banger of an album ‘Tell Me You Love Me’. The perfect mix of R&B with pop makes for some great vocals and memorable pop music.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus returns with a much less quirky look and album ‘Younger Now’ delving more into her country roots even featuring her Godmother Dolly Parton.

Khalid

Khalid’s debut album ‘American Teen’ storms into our ears with the perfect mix of R&B, pop and soulful vibes.

Sampha

After the amazing extended play ‘Dual’ released back in 2013 Sampha has finally released a full debut album, ‘Process’, which features his incredible soulful vocals against piano and electronic instrumentals.

Sabrina Claudio

Sabrina Claudio’s debut album ‘About Time’ takes alternative R&B on a soulful ride. If any comparison is needed, think Tinashe meets Lana Del Ray.

Kelela

Kelela has been on the alternative R&B scene radar for some time now, but with the release of her debut album ‘Take Me Apart’ she has truly staked her claim.

St. Vincent

St. Vincent is back with incredible visuals and quirky alternative pop music, with her new album ‘MASSEDUCATION’.
